Description
Come and hear international poet and author Lemn Sissay MBE talk about his inspirational journey to success, from his early experience in the social care system, to becoming a successful poet and Chancellor of Manchester University. Hear his reflections on diversity in the Arts, the social policies that support the care system and how he is using the Law to challenge Wigan local authority for its part in surrendering him to an unwanted long term foster placement.
This event is brought to you by Kent Law School, SSPSSR and the School of Arts. It is part of the KLS Student Success Project Inspirational Speaker Series which is designed to engage students (and staff) by showing inspirational achievers who model success in their sphere.
